As open space ambient air flow heat dissipation is almost impossible, it is very important to choose a platform with optimal balance of performance and thermal.
For this requirement, Wincomm chooses Intel’s latest Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor and Mobile Intel 945GSE Express chipset with the total thermal design power (TDP) is only 9 watts. The Atom N270 is implemented with 45nm process technology, Core-based micro-architecture w/ in-order instructions process, 16-stage longer pipeline, 128-bit internal data path for SSE instructions, Hyper-threading second virtual CPU technology, and enhanced low-power sleep states. All these latest technologies make the WLP-7820-15A a power-optimized system to deliver robust performance-per-watt and a perfect fit for in-wall box applications.
The WLP-7820-15A key features
The WLP-7820-15A supports 533MHz FSB, dual-channel 2GB DDR2-533 SRDAM memory, SATA 2.5” HDD w/ anti-vibration design. Wincomm’s application programs, Auto WDT watchdog timer, temperature monitoring with warming and underclocking, further secure the product usage and long term reliability.
For the integrated display, it is a 15 inch 4:3 1024x768 300 nits TFT LCD panel with 50,000 hours long life CCFL backlight. For touch application, Wincomm provides a resistive touch screen with 80% light transmission, anti-glare surface with 3H hardness and allows finger, glove and other stylus inputs.
